Just a couple of people

Worked from photos and observations.

Observations

Moving away from maps now. I want to focus more on the people you find around Soho, and different landmarks.
I went in to do a few observations and experimented a bit with them. Here's a few little pictures.

GAY

Have decided to make two maps. One on Soho nightlife, e.g bars and clubs, and one on independent eateries, namely coffee/tea shops. Both will be mainly based around Old Compton Street.
Went out on a busy Saturday night and took a few photos of Old Compton Street on my friend's camera, and now I've started experimenting on different sufaces and making an rough a1 map planning the different locations of the places I want to use.
Anyway, here's a little picture of G.A.Y on an old Graze Box.

If anyone knows of any good places to drink or eat in the area, please let me know!

Thoughts

I've been thinking about my self-defined project, and what I want to do for The Drawing Board exhibition
I know I definately want to base my work around observations, so I've been out and about sketching people

Bits and bobs

Today I needed to get out the house so I took a long wander around central. I took a little hot chocolate break and made a few observational drawings...

This past week I also modified an owl I drew back in the summer by adding a bit of colour. I've never really focused any of my illustration around animals, but I quite enjoyed doing this one so I think I'll experiment with them in the future

I draw people

Today I decided to fill a sketchbook with quick observations in preperation for my new project, 'Print Is Dead'
I drew pretty much everyone who got in my way
Chances are I probably drew you...
