Not the best photo... (self-defined)

But here is the finished piece

Progress (self-defined)

I've started on one of two final pieces. This is the first, a bit bigger than A3. It's obviously not finished yet! But here it is so far...

Business Cards

I made my own business cards
Six different designs

Check out my amazing typography on the back...

More mini pictures (self-defined)

I've started work on bigger crowd scenes.
However, here's some more little ones...

Few Photos (self-defined)

These are just a couple of photos I'm working from. Crowds in central London

Tiny little cardboard pictures (self-defined)

I want to end up with tons and tons of little ones and maybe a couple of really big crowd pictures.
Ive chosen cardboard as it makes the colours pop and is remaniscent of cities (well, to me anyway)

The scanner has done these no favours.

New Directions (self-defined)

I'm moving away from the observations of people 12:47 as I feel it isn't strong enough. I now focusing on finding the calm in city life. I'll still be making use of my observations, and making more. But I'll also be using my own photographs as referance.

My computer is slow! So here's one image. The blank space is still in developement

Leftovers (self-defined)

Alan wasn't so keen on these, and looking at them I guess they're not really all that. But I quite like the colouring.

Southbank (self-defined)

Today I made the most of the sun and went into central for sunshine, sushi and cocktails
But not without taking some observations at Southbank

Colours (self-defined)

It's time like this when I miss my camera. This is a badly scanned canvas, but it shows my 'happy?' mistake.
I wanted to paint a beautifully executed observation but it went horribly wrong so out of frustration and boredom I started whacking paint on there
The result gave me a brainwave...colour?? Inaccurate painting? I've found myself so obsessed with getting my drawings and developements accurate and life-like I've neglected the whole 'lets have a go and see what happens' side of it

Here's a couple more colour experiments

Backgrounds (self-defined)

These are developed from observations of the park

A foray into using colour and background. Not liking the couple in the bottom one, they look like an oddly placed cartoon couple

Benches (self-defined)

Watercolours and biro. I quite like the girls at the picnic table. I need to start developing backgrounds

Indecisions (self-defined)

I tried using fabric in my work, but I think the result is a bit of a fail. The cardboard lump in her arm is supposed to be a baby...

This is a reflection in the train window, using pen, pencil and watercolour. I'm not too sure if I like it...

Late-night boredom

12:30 at night, nothing else to do. Why no indulge my love of using biro and drawing girls...
Here's Gracie Fields and Vera Lynn

Experimentation (self-defined)

As well as taking as many observations as I can, I'm also in the process of developing them using colour and/or different materials. Here's a few from the sketchbook

This one was done using ink. Obviously haven't got the hang of my ink set yet...

Catch-up (self-defined)

Time to catch up on ALL my blogging

So....here are a few more observations
